Our philosophy is simple. Our approach is complete.

You know how some artists try and tell you their process is a science and come off sounding like Charlie Brown’s teacher? Well, don’t expect that from us.


We listen. We understand. We create. We manage. We review. It really is that simple. We identify a compelling insight for your audience and deliver an engaging design solution for your brand. All creative solutions are a process of discovery that requires trust and dialogue. Striking this balance is the foundation from which we operate.

Each of our clients present a unique and interesting challenge. We take the time to learn about your business, we ask good questions and pay close attention to the answers. After developing a thorough understanding of your business needs and project requirements we tailor our process to best accomplish the objectives of each unique project. Our goal is to provide innovative and effective design solutions on schedule and on budget.

Five Phased Methodology

We use a five-phased methodology that provides a flexible framework for the development of each project. While the nature and the specifics of each project – from the development of an identity to the development of a website – may differ, the five phases of our approach remain consistent.

    DEFINING THE PROJECT

    This step is vital for the whole project. In the beginning, it’s important that we work with you to clarify and understand the design problem to be solved. Being clear about what we are doing is essential. In learning what you need, as well as what you don’t want, we are able to focus our creative energy on the best way to achieve a solution. Therefore we begin each project with extensive research and evaluation to ensure the vision and objectives are clearly outlined.From this phase, a strategy evolves. At the end of phase one we establish project scope, budget and a detailed work plan.

    VISUAL THINKING

    What will the solution be? Who will use it and how? What will it do? How will it work? What will it look like? Once the team agrees on project objectives, we define the functional, technical, and creative requirements. We document them and work with the client to refine them. It’s important to show a breadth of ideas, gather feedback, and continue exploring to arrive at the best solution for all of our clients.

    SHAPING THE DESIGN

    For us, the design process is an expression of all the relevant information, research and requirements gathered for the project. The success of our work is not only in your brand story being visually appealing but also in achieving the goals we established from the beginning. Whether the task at hand is branding, information design or interface design, we apply a thoughtful approach to obtaining the best results for you. Our design process involves identifying then communicating the underlying messages, functions and characteristics that bridge the gap between your brand and your audience.

    MAKING IT HAPPEN

    We review and prepare the final product. Then we polish, test, finalize and deploy. Finally, we celebrate with a pizza party. In a nutshell, that’s what we do but managing your project in the right way can make all the difference in creating a great piece of work. We’re not frivilous artists who throw caution into the wind, we’re professionals who follow up at important junctures in our projects to ensure you’re happy and we’re happy. If we’re all happy that means we can pour you a nice glass of Jack Daniels when the project is completed–good old Jack, has there ever been a finer elixir?

    We Review

    DELIVER & GROW

    Our work doesn’t end when the project is completed. We monitor the project’s growth as it comes to life. We review, evaluate, prune and water for next phase to sprout. We offer a range of services to help continue building and improving upon the work already completed. Our team provides all the documentation necessary to keep the project in its optimal form. We help to reassess the completed project to ensure that the solution is fulfilling the client’s ongoing needs. We carefully monitor the success of each project to learn from what we did right, and what we could have improved upon.
